Privacy Policy
Orude Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) respects the privacy of users of the mobile application
“DayCity” (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) and handles personal information appropriately in
accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 1 (Definitions)
- The term “Personal Information” refers to information about a living individual as
defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, and includes any information
that can identify a specific individual, such as name, email address, or user identifier.
- The term “User Information” refers to all information collected by the Company in
connection with the use of this App, including Personal Information and other related data.
Article 2 (Information Collected)
To provide and operate the App safely, the Company may collect the following information:
- User identifier (UID) issued through anonymous authentication
- In-App usage data (screen transitions, actions, usage frequency, favorited cities, etc.)
- Transaction information related to subscriptions and purchases (transaction ID, product name, purchase
date/time, etc.)
- Device information, IP address, log information, and crash reports
Article 3 (Purposes of Use)
The Company uses collected User Information for the following purposes:
- To provide services such as city snapshot viewing and widget management
- To manage subscriptions, purchase history, and transactions made via the App Store
- To improve quality, fix bugs, and enhance functionality of the App
- To prevent unauthorized use and respond to user inquiries
- To perform statistical and analytical processing in a manner that does not identify individuals
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations and to conduct audits when necessary
Article 4 (Storage and Deletion of Data)
- User account data is stored in cloud storage managed by the Company. The Company manages such data
appropriately and strives to prevent leakage, alteration, or unauthorized access.
- Deleting the App from a device does not automatically delete stored user account data if it is linked to
a cloud account. Users who wish to have their data deleted may contact the Company at the address listed
below.
- After a suspension or deletion request, the Company will delete or anonymize the relevant data within a
reasonable period. However, certain data may be retained for a limited time for purposes such as fraud
prevention, technical auditing, or legal compliance.
- Users may request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of their Personal Information.
The Company will respond within a reasonable scope after verifying the identity of the requester.
Article 5 (Use of External Services and Provision to Third Parties)
- The App uses the following external services for authentication, data storage, image generation, and
related processing:
- Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, database, and analytics)
- Apple (App Store payments and account linkage)
- OpenAI, Google, and similar AI model providers (for image generation)
These providers act as contractors or partners of the Company and handle data only within the scope
necessary for service provision.
- User Information may be transferred and stored outside Japan (for example, in the United States) as
required for service operation. The Company confirms the data protection measures of the destination
before such transfer and handles the information appropriately in accordance with Japanese law.
- The Company will not provide User Information to any third party except in the following cases:
- When necessary for outsourcing certain operations to external contractors
- When disclosure is required by laws or regulations
- When Personal Information is succeeded due to a merger or business transfer
- When it is necessary to protect human life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the
user’s consent
- In other cases permitted by applicable laws and regulations
Article 6 (Security Measures)
The Company takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to manage and protect collected
information, and to prevent loss, leakage, falsification, or unauthorized access.
Article 7 (Use of Cookies and Analytics Tools)
For understanding usage and improving service quality, the App may use analytics tools such as
Firebase Analytics. The information collected through these tools does not include any data
that can identify specific individuals.
Article 8 (Changes to This Policy)
The Company may revise this Policy in accordance with changes in laws or in the content of the App.
If the revision materially affects users or may be disadvantageous to them, the Company will notify users
through the App or its official website and, where required, obtain their consent.
Minor changes will take effect upon posting in the App or on the Company’s website.
